"Anybody can write about things that happened in their life, but it takes a real emcee to discuss what he feels and how a certain situation not only effects himself, but how it effects all of the people around him." He went thru a series of emcee names people gave him, but none they came up with really summed up his whole persona. So he stuck with his birth name: Rob Riley. Using his real name, shows people that he isn't about any gimmicks or games--he's just straight forward. "I appreciate people who appreciate me and what i do. My music is just another expression of how i feel."
"I not only try to describe things, i define them. I try to be as vivid and open as i possibly can. When people listen i want it to feel like they're in an art museum wit there eyes closed listening to a description of the finest paintings. I try to incorperate other senses when you listen to my songs". With growth comes change, and im doing both sucessfully. Im very introspective when it come to this music. Through out my whole career six words drive me forward: rapper's are manufactured, emcee's are born. And that's real.
While other artist rap so monotonously, I like to change my infliction to futher punctuate lines or emphasize words. It gives off a better vibe and feel on the records. Not something brand new to rap, but it definately works for my style none the less.
Yes. I played live at STREET HEAT Urban Talent Showcase at The Artists Warehouse on 521 cecil b. moore ave.(North Philadelphia) I also performed at Dave Wilkes Prod. Big Beautiful Women Pageant.
Whoa I can't even begin to single out every artist, but everybody's an influence. From Rap to R&B to anything else really.
