Three Thoughts on Forget-me-nots Three Thoughts on Forget-me-nots
Three Thoughts On Forget-Me-Nots This was done as follows: I recorded a track, then another, then another, all without listening to the previous tracks, but being reasonably aware of what they sounded like.
Travln' Light Travln' Light
The joy of playing the flute is its portability. I’ve been trav’lin’ light musically for ever. It is all about travelling as light as one can musically: playing solo.
I play flutes and things that work like flutes. I write music, and I publish music as pdf downloads (), some of it free. What I like doing best musically is picking up an instrument and playing improvisationally.
I also garden, and write. Gardening is more important than music, or most anything else.Band/artist history
I've been playing for a long time...a very long time.Have you performed in front of an audience?I do play live, but not often enough.
Your musical influences
Though I think my greatest influence is John Coltrane, I don't really sound like 'Trane, nor do I try to. Influence something that transcends sound. What equipment do you use?
I have a Gemeinhardt flute, an Aulos Baroque flute, a Yamaha recorder, a Schreiner recorder (sopranino), and a wooden flute from Nepal.Anything else?
Much as I'm happy that you're interested in my music, I'd be even happier if I knew that you were out there playing or singing your own. Get an instrument, and blow it, pluck it, bow it, or hit it; open your mouth and sing, or at least hum. Do it now!!
