Rieles inicia su actividad en el año 1984, conformada por alumnos de Colegio Cristo Rey, posteriormente en el año 1986, se une a ellos Mario Jimenez (Ex- Graduados y Trapoz), con esta formación logran obtener sus mejores logros musicalmente en los años 1986,1987,1988 hasta 1990. Siendo unas de sus canciones mas conocidas, Maldita Ilusion (1986), Soñando con ella (1988), No quiero Hacerte Daño (1989), Libre (1990).
El grupo desarrollo actividades en el Sur del Perú y Norte de Chile, así como en Lima y La Paz.
