Forest for the Trees Forest for the Trees
This is my first recorded instrumental - I had a little riff thing in my head and recorded it, just to play with it, and ended up getting wrapped up in the whole thing. I never 'wrote' the song, per se, I just kind of recorded it on the fly.

Walk Away Walk Away
What happens when things change? What happens when you refuse to let it? What happens when you don't care?

Circling Circling
I wrote this song on the Greyhound bus, somewhere in California. I saw two birds flying over the freeway, and caught myself wishing I was one of them. But they were flying hard against the wind, and I realized I already had been.

Leaves Are Turning Leaves Are Turning
Everything changes. Your life is in flux, right now, and sometimes you just can't go back. Sometimes you don't want to.

I'm a singer/songwriter/guitarist. Spent some time in a celtic folk rock band, where I learned how to play, and am striking out on my own. A reasonably successfull first album - sold only by me at shows and on my website - is in my past, and I'm working on a new one that, so far, I like quite a bit.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I play about where/whenever I can. I love playing live.
Your musical influences
Leonard Cohen, early (pre-Monster) R.E.M., Spirit of the West, Barenaked Ladies, Counting Crows, Crowded House, the sound of the universe and that half-remembered song from when you were young.
What equipment do you use?
A guitar, my voice. Sometimes my PC, often an amp.

I listened to "Walk Away" - Very good song. I got a song called "Dont Walk Away" so I had to give it a listen for arguments sake. You got a good style though, the pace is good too.
Okay, well, it's my song. But I like it alot. I like the vocal hiccup. It started as a throaway song, and it ended up going over very well at live shows, so I took it from there, and it ended up as one of my favorites.
