I Got a Honey I Got a Honey
I am a solo blues musician. I play a stomp box, electric slide guitar, harmonica and much of my set is made up of original songs. A so called one man band.
Band/artist history
I've played on the blues circuit in the UK for about 10 years, performing in pubs, clubs, the Colne Blues Festival and the Guiness Castlebar Blues Festival. I have had several songs played on Radio 2 and I was interviewed by Paul Jones. I have recorded 2 albums, 1 in the UK (Love in the Blues) and 1 in Ireland (From the Inside Out). In the past I have built up much of my stage experience and credibility by busking and open mic jamming. From there I built a stage act, developing my sound as I went. Although I play solo, jamming is still something I get a great deal of pleasure from. I am currently working as a blues musician in Spain, which is a good experience as the spanish tend to appreciate anything which is played from the soul.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I love to play live. I play at clubs, festivals and open-mic jamming where it's great to play with other musicians and really explore other areas.
Your musical influences
The Reverend Gary Davies, Sonny Boy Williamson,Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee. Doors, Pink Flloyd.
What equipment do you use?
A mixture of guitars, but would never be without a Fender and Mackie sound equipment.
