Is Cleveland a city full of party rappers, and dirty south swagger-jackers? Ask the man holding office as self proclaimed “Mr. Cleveland” this question and your sure to get a furious “No!” from Cleveland’s newest and youngest prospect on the local hip-hop scene. With a sound that is inviting, aggressive, and at the same time original there’s no telling how far this young’n will go in the music industry. Much of the young emcee’s delivery is totally original and before un-heard of, but his ability to adjust his flow to fit any type of beat or mood is a valuable asset, and unique skill many rappers beyond his years have yet to master. Although he says “I have the tools, but just ain’t built the tower” REMO is ready and making his approach to making his presence firmly felt in the Cleveland hip-hop scene. Formerly a member of the New Deffinition Records/Explicit Truth Family (Which he co-founded) REMO has been labeled an un-proven talent by other established acts in the area. With less than perfect attendance at monumental music events and low-sales numbers REMO’s past musical efforts were wasted through poor management, and promotion. “I know these streets, and that’s who I do it for” says REMO, “As I came up meeting people of power in the streets they breeded that strength in me to never quit or give up on anything”. But the streets seem to be what REMO is trying to get away from with his music. “I use this as a tool to deliver a message to the people in and out of the streets, for the people inI’m trying to tell them to work for more, and not give up on themselves or the environment around them because that’s how things get worse, and for the people out I’m trying to tell them that this is what happens out here and if you don’t have to, don’t get involved in it because for most people there’s no way out”. With a strong message to deliver and the desire and skills to become one of hip-hop’s most prominent stars. Is Cleveland a city full of party rappers, and dirty south swagger-jackers?
