REINA WILLIAMS
Introducing, Reina Williams, born Tatiana Williams, niece of famed television host, Montel Williams. The name Reina, which means "queen" in Spanish, adequately and suitably describes this talented performer because this girl is truly a musical queen in the making.
Born and raised in a musical family in Baltimore, Maryland, this 21 year old has a list of talents that goes on and on. Music has always been a major part of Reina, going back as far as age 17 months when she first sang a song. She began her formal musical training at the age of five with private lessons in piano. She has been writing music and lyrics since age 11, playing guitar since age 12, has moved on to the bass, and has developed her innate penchant for percussive instruments. To top all of that, she arranges and engineers!
Trained at The Omega Studios for Recorded Arts and Sciences in Rockville, Maryland, a State-accredited higher education institution, Reina acquired proficiency on the intricacies of recorded music from the ground up. She also possesses a keen understanding of both technical and artistic
components of recorded music. After completion of the program at The Omega Studios, Reina was hired as an apprentice engineer at the studio of DJ Eddie Baez and Grammy award winning producer, Ernie Lake, in New York City.
She returned to Baltimore and has been working as an engineer at Oz Recording Studio. She has worked with sensational artists such as 'Lil Mo, Alisha Keys, and Usher during her employment at Oz Recording Studio.
With an interracial heritage, this half black/half Dominican wonder has a style that is like no other. She sings, raps, writes, performs and produces all of her music. With a mix of alternative rock, rap, and R&B, classification in one genre of music would not truly define the talents of Reina Williams. Whether by way of singing, rapping, writing, producing,
engineering, and/or performing, it's time to let this queen reign!Have you performed in front of an audience?As often as possible. of course performing if fun especially because i don't look like i sound and people usually dont expect the goodness. :P
Your musical influences
Well im Mozart meets Timbaland with a touch of Sweetback. and my rhymes with the flow. . . . well i will just let the beats speak for themselves. for now.What equipment do you use?
Well since i do all of my own production on the computer, im running Reason 2.5 to do my tracks. im using a Midiman Oxygen 8 controller. not great but its does what i need it to do. i have sound files for days and im getting new samples as we speak.Anything else?
