Redstaar is a rapper/singer, songwriter and music producer who omits passion, fun and real-life scenario’s through every story his songs tell.

Redstaar is not new on the music scene, and has collaborated with many of the undiscovered rappers, singers and songwriters who are now also emerging as well-rounded and experienced artists from Birmingham, England.

Redstaar observes the people and environment around him and creates themed music from what he sees, aiming to produce something innovative and avant-garde to represent the world and its hidden secrets and treasures.

The name Redstaar is no accident in fact there is not a day in the year he is not wearing red.

Redstaar has completed his first solo album ‘T.M.T.H’ and is ready to take the music industry by storm.

Embarking on his musical journey in 2000 Redstaar has performed at numerous venues around Birmingham and the West Midlands including New Year concert 2000 at Centenary square, “Mischka’s Got Talent” Club Mischkas, “The National Mentor Conference” Crown Plaza Manchester and numerous open mic nights at infamous venues like the Yard Bird, Cox’s Yard, and The Hare and Hounds.

Fast forward to the present and REDSTAAR has now completed his solo album titled ‘T.M.T.H’, and three MIXCD titled ‘THE SECRET’ containing samples from ‘The Secret’ by Rhonda Byrne which boasts industry instrumentals remixed lyrically by REDSTAAR and various talented artists from Birmingham. ‘SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST’ and ‘RED REVOLUTION’ with instrumentals produced by REDSTAAR, JIMMY DAVIS, and SIMSEE and features many of the artists he has created music with. Survival of the fittest is a compilation of some of the best songs he has had the privilege to be a part of during his music development. A man with zest who believes WILL POWER WILL WIN!! So you can expect to see and hear more of him in the coming years.

Yes I perform live! I'm in my element when on stage. I have performed at many show cases and open mic nights such as Blak Twang ‘The Rotton club tour’ (Cox’s Yard, Leamington), Mentoring conferences in West Bromich Albion Conference suite, Wolverhampton FC Conference suite, the National Mentoring event (Crown Plaza, Manchester) and Time to Network (Club Colleseum, London).

My most special moment was when me and a few of the music artists I work with performed in Centinary Square on New Years Eve 2001. Standing on the stage infront of thousands of people felt amazing.

I grew up listening to Micheal Jackson, and moved on to artists like Puffy Daddy and Mase. Then the harder stuff such as DMX, Busta Rhymes and The Lox. Now I listen to Jay-Z, Kayne West, Drake, Sade, Bob Marley, Damien Marley and Brandon Flowers. Busta Rhymes influenced my adlibs while recording, styles P influenced alot of my methods of rhyming, and Drake influenced the singing element in my vocals.

I use a PC and Cubase to record. Along with a semi-professional mic, mixer and compressor.

For anyone searching for something different in hiphop other than a big goldie looking chain and gangster lyrics look for me. Rap delivery and characteristics remain original and innovative within my music and performance style.
