In October Red Liquid's together for a year, being part of a project, called "Popschool". Popschool was brought up in Rotterdam, and within a few years, it was introduced in several places in the Netherlands.
Together with another band we started the first year of Popschool Groningen. But the other band fell apart after their last show, the drummer and guitarist decided to quit, because they hated the songs they played. During their last show, the guitarist didn't want to play one particular song, so he stood there, the whole song with his guitar around his neck, doing nothing. That was really pathetic.... But maybe they will find some other bandmembers next October.
But, this is a site about Red Liquid, not about the other band.... We started the year playing covers, covers which have been played by almost every band in the universe, for like, "Zombie" and "Californication". And after a month or 2 the singer came up with some self-written songs, and we started to play these songs. After a few months we had 5 own songs, in different styles, globally put under 'Rock'.
Red Liquid's been having a few gigs in Groningen, and is known all over the place. People asking when we'll have another gig... That's really fun!!
And yet, more to come, of course!Have you performed in front of an audience?We do!! :D
Some payed gig at Leens, in the Northest North of the Netherlands, in Febuary, dunno which date. And upcoming gigs in Simplon not to be dated yet.. :(
Your musical influences
Just the whole world of music, we don't really sound like a particular band or artist. Maybe we just found out some new style.. ;)
Bette is mostly inspired by love, bunny's and her friends. But not all songs are friendly.. ;)
When Johannus comes up with a song, Bette thinks it sounds like System of a Down, which we're all a big fan of.What equipment do you use?
