Richard Walters - I'm Sorry (Reconnaissance Remix) Richard Walters - I'm Sorry (Reconnaissance Remix)
Remix of fellow Oxford artist Richard Walters' cover of the John Denver classic.

Falling Into Place Falling Into Place
A rushed attempt at ripping off the Neptunes with a bit of Coldplay thrown in for the chorus. I kinda like it anyway...
Elevate I Elevate I
This is just a very plaintif solo guitar instrumental although it sounds rather more like an organ owing to heavy amounts of delay and reverb. Have a listen and you'll get the picture.

Reconnaissance is an ongoing one-man project from Oxford, UK. At the tender age of 22 and having just completed a music technology degree, he is still going through the motions of working out where he wants to go musically and how to turn his computer on.
So far, Reconnaissance is largely about sound design and guitar-oriented post rock so expect a potent brew of electronic soundscapes and Godspeed You Black Emperor-esque emotionally charged meanderings.
However, Reconnaissance is also man who likes to boogie and is currently inviting any artists who stumble accross this page to submit tracks for him to remix. Thank you!Band/artist history
I've been playing the guitar for nearly 10 years now. I've been in and out of bands for the past 5 years or so which has given me a nice taste of playing live and collaborating with people... then I eventually realised that there was more out there than just rock music and now I mostly listen to and attempt to produce electronic and vaguely experimental stuff.Have you performed in front of an audience? Not much at the moment as far as Reconnaissance goes. For now, I just do the odd acoustic guitar session to keep my hand in.
Your musical influences
Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Four Tet, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Mr. Scruff, Set Fire To Flames, Sigur Ros, Jeff Buckley, Prefuse73, Jimmy Edgar, Autechre. What equipment do you use?
Owing to being a poor student I have very little stuff. I use a Gibson Les Paul Studio for the instrumental guitar stuff which is recorded on a Boss BR8 digital 8 track and then mastered in Cool Edit Pro for PC.
For the electronic stuff, I work with Audiomulch for creating beats, syncing loops and and some sound transformation. Then it's all mixed and doctored in Cool Edit. I sometimes use Reaktor for creating synth modules.Anything else?
Would really love some feedback (as constructive as possible would be nice) and am completely open to any ideas, suggestions or collaborations with any dudes out there.
