"Testimony" and "The Watchman" make up this God - fearing duo Reborn 1:23. These brothers come from the streets of St. Louis, MO. As children the two always knew that music was going to play a major role in their lives but not to this extent. Earlier in their music careers the two were rapping with various local secular artists, but the grimy street style just did not fit with the two. Continuing to search for a purpose in life they both came up with an idea. If rap music meant as much as it did to them and God is the most important part of their lives they'd find a way to merge the two.
Although the style of gospel rap was already being used, B.J. and Mike wanted to still be a part of this growing phenomenon. After years of studying God’s word and building on their craft they ran across national recording artist Praiz' at a local St. Louis church. About two years later they ran into Praiz' again at an outdoor benefit concert in St. Louis and he asked them to join him on stage to back him up on one of his hit songs entitled "Selah, Selah." The sound system was not working properly so they had to do it without, music so being fans of Praiz's music; it was good they already knew the words to the catchy tune. Ever since they have been traveling across the world ministering the gospel through song with other PLPB artists and are now working on their debut CD due for release 2007. Reborn 1:23 continues to reach out to the youth, hoping that this is the generation that God uses to change the world.Your musical influences
