Cover of Billy Squier's My Kinda Lover
A classic from my favorite country band.
A classic Led Zeppelin song.
Cover from 1980 Women and Children First LP
A slower more rhythmic version of a Clapton classic released in the 1980s
I was watching MTV when Van Halen's "Jump" made it's world premiere. I had never seen Edward Van Halen play before but when he played the solo to Jump I was hooked. Went out at 14 and got a job cutting grass to save up and buy my first guitar and amp.
The show I always remember was New Year's Eve 1988. One of the best nights ever as a guitarist.
My guitar influences and heroes are Edward Van Halen, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Angus Young, Billy Gibbons, Tony Iommi, Ritchie Sambora, Gary Richrath, Tom Keifer, Phil Collin, Steve Clark, Joe Walsh, and Chris Hayes.
My guitars include a Martin d-28 Acoustic, Gibson Les Paul Standard, 1985 Fender Contemporary Stratocaster, 1986 Fender HM Strat, amongst others. My amp is a Marshall 1959SLPHW 100 watt head and 4x12 Marshall HW cabinet. Effects are CAE Wah, 1974 MXR Phase 90, 1978 MXR Flanger, 1976 Boss CE-1 Stereo Chorus, Roland SDE 2500 Delay, Lexicon PCM-70, Eventide DSP-4000, Rocktron Hush, Switchblade 8, and an ISP power amp.
