I started out a professional stagehand, and after years of working with every artist I could, I moved to Nashville and met everyone, and learned about the business of music. then moved to Las Vegas, and started putting everything into place on the internet, using all I'd learned. And still learning, there are several sites to better ones understanding of how it all works, and what it really takes to promote an indiependent artist. I spend between 8 to 10 hours a day on the computer, promoting, every aspect of my career.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Currently, R.C.Pickens can be seen and heard at local and major casinos throughout Las Vegas.
Your musical influences
My influences are great music from every kind of music out there,being a songwriter, I look for the story, melody, etc.But mostly the music must move me inside in someway, if it don't get into my heart and soul it's not worth my time.
What equipment do you use?
Fender Guitars, Takamine guitars,Shure mics,Boss effects, Roland recording units, Peavey power amps, Crate amps,Roland keyboards, JBL cabnets, and assorted types of fiddles,banjos and mandlins, and mouth harps.
Anything else?
Right now I'm talking to Pilgrim films in hollywood, to maybe provide background music for some of thier 25 reality shows on t.v., including Pimp my ride, and talking to the Foundation of Love Foundation, about using one of my songs for terminatly ill children.
