I am a Cuban-American Producer from Omaha, Nebraska. I've been making beats for about 10 years now. I try all kinds of Hip-hop and rap beats, but I specialize in Underground Sample-based beats. I also MC, DJ, Engineer, Mix, Master, and Scratch. I also do Graphic Design and Web Design.Have you performed in front of an audience?I am one half of the group, Skilled Affiliates, from Omaha, Nebraska. We do shows about every other month or so (on and off). I also DJ at various clubs,bars, house parties, weddings, and special events around Omaha. I am the official DJ for Brealthless (aka Honey B) and S.K.Y. Streetball Syndicate (composed mostly of former And 1 street ball players). I'm the Vice President and Co-Founder of Sparc Entertainment and an official member of the Crowd Rocka DJs. I currently teach at Guitar Center Studios in Omaha, NE. I also do sound design for the game Battle Bears at SkyVu Pictures.
Your musical influences
My parents listed to a lot of Classic Rock while I was growing up. In high school I started listening to a lot of Big Band, Jazz, and Swing - but at the same time I was also getting more and more into Rap/Hip-hop. Now, I listen to a lot of Underground Hip-hop. I love The Roots, J Dilla, 9th Wonder, Black Milk, Slum Village, Little Brother, just about anyone from Boot Camp Click (Sean Price, Rock, Buckshot, etc.), Kanye West, Hi-Tek, Swizz Beats, and Just Blaze.What equipment do you use?
Although I used to use an MPC2000XL, Korg Triton, Yamaha EX5, Roland RS-9, and Symphonic Orchestra; I am currently using Reason 4.0 with Recycle for my sample chopping, Pro Tools 9, & Logic Pro 9. I use lots of samples. I have an M-Audio Keystation Pro 88 and a Korg PadKontrol. I do my work on a Mac. I also use Pro Tools 9 for my recording, mixing, mastering, and basic audio editing. I have two Numark HDX's and a Vestax 07 Pro Mixer that I use to DJ and scratch with.Contact
