West Indian transplant, the RazorCain was born on an island in the Caribbean. His exact place of origin is unknown to most. However, the spirit and force of his ancestors have driven him to release his highly anticipated debut album, "The Eye of the Storm," a torrential mixture of struggle, aggression, and survival as Razor makes his way through this journey we call, life. With endless tracks in circulation over the course of 10 years, Razor is finally ready to weather the storm on his own with his mixtape, "The Calm Before the Storm," the prequel to "The Eye of the Storm." Stay tuned for more as Razor readies his debut video for the controversial mixtape joint, "I Think I'm Osama." Check out RazorCain on YouTube.com for more info. Peace.
Band/artist history
RazorCain: Started rapping and writing at 16. Most notable recording was an unreleased single featuring Pinchers entitled "Live Some Life." Recorded 2 songs, "Livin My Life," and "Yo Razor" which appeared in 2 separate episodes of MTV's Pimp My Ride. Opened for Flipmode artist Rah Digga at Sputnik in Brooklyn. Challenged Queensbridge artist Nature to a live freestyle battle on air @ WHCS Hunter College radio, which he refused. Received a phone call from Atlantic Records after listening to a RazorCain demo. Razor suffered a setback and was not ready at the time.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I play live at various venues, usually sporadically and on occasion. I always enjoy giving the people my very best performances every time. I seek to excite, not disappoint. I believe the people know when you really believe in yourself as an artist and when you don't and they pretty much feed off that energy. Of course the music has to be great. Just seeing my fans at my shows and gaining more exposure as I advance in my career is all a result of my stage performance and craft so every show is a special moment for me.
