This song is inspired by the most heartfelt prayer request I've ever read. The request was from a father pleading for his dear son to be comforted if not healed of cancer. Although I do not know the end of this story, they are branded in my heart.

At 25 I went to a tiny Bible Institute in upstate NY in 97' called Elim. There I was inspired and influenced by the music of Delirious, Matt Redman among others. I was also deeply moved by the stories of Rich Mullins and Keith Green. It is a missions school, and so my eyes were opened to the Mission of Christ as never before. It seemed everyone there had a guitar and could play... I was only there a semester, but picked up a guitar and learned chords when I got home. I taught myself to sing and play by playing the worship songs I've come to love... Little did I know that a few years later that guitar would be a source of comfort after my sister's death... Then a few more years later it would be played at my dad's funeral... Many if not all of my songs have been birthed out of Tragedy and Loss... My hope is as the scriptures say that "I can comfort others as God has comforted me"... Be it missions, a song, or just a shoulder to cry on my prayer is that God would heal the brokenhearted in and through me:)Have you performed in front of an audience?I have not done live shows as of yet, but have played for outdoor ministry events.

Rolling Stones, Eagles, Def Leppard, Tesla, Creed, Matchbox Twenty, Accappella, Clay Crosse, DC Talk, Third Day, Delirious, Matt Redman, Rich Mullins, Keith Green, Fernando Ortega, Bebo Norman and the list goes on.......What equipment do you use?
A used acoustic guitar, cheap amp, computer, computer mic, and Power Audio Editor... Before all this sophistication I used a tape recorder as inspired by the humble Rich Mullins...Anything else?
I Pray for all who listen to my music will not miss the "Treasure" because of the "Earthen Vessel" in which it's contained... I am not a polished entertainer, nor do I desire to be... My musical abilities/ sound quality may be low rent, but the Power of the Message is Not... Maybe someday I'll take the plunge, and have my songs professionally produced. Until then I'll do the best I can with 5 smooth stones. lol
