Deliver Me Deliver Me
Probably one of the best songs to come from the expectant Monster's of Eden album.
Radius Desire was formed with the idea of putting music back in industrial. They can be best described as dark synthpop.
Band/artist history
Radius Desire formed in April of 2000 while label owner, Raven F., was interviewing Haven Sole as a possible new act. They messed with some tracks and Radius Desire was created. The idea was to get away from the ordinary distorted vocals and overly repeating synth lines, and get back to making music that was actually a challenge to write. Focusing on melodics and power, the first album, Tribute to the Meek, was a force to be reconed with. In the process of mastering the album, they kept writing and within three months released their second album, Beautiful Ghosts, which showed much more ability then the first. And still, they kept writing. A series of emotional torments put an ever larger tilt to their muse's and work on the third album, Monster of Eden, began. Original ideas marked it to be another single cd, but the building amount of tracks changed their views to a double cd. Set for release in august, this will definently be an album to own.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We play when and where we can. Our normal place of noise is a place out in Perris,CA. called the Mower Shack. The last show we played there, we headlined the night after 8 punk bands. The room was packed and after the third song, I opened my eyes to see all the guys had left, excpet one, and completely filled with women. that was a nice moment.
Your musical influences
We both come from different influences.
Haven Sole: alternative, folk, grunge, modern goth, modern industrial.
Raven F.: punk, old school goth, synthpop, new wave, 80's in general, and a whole mess o' other shtoof.
What equipment do you use?
Outboard gear wise, we use a Korg Monopoly, Sequential Circuits Pro One, Yamaha CS1x and CS2x, Roland XP10, a soon to aquire Nord Lead2, tons and tons of effects and filters, and of course, my computer, the God Complex. As for the stuff inside of it, we use Fruityloops, NI Pro52, Waldorf PPG, NI FM7, NI Reaktor, Junglist, Steinberg A1, and other various softsynths. For recording, we use Steinberg's Nuendo with a couple of Sea Sound Solo Ex's as my sound cards, which will soon be accompanied by a few Creamware cards.
Anything else?
Raven F. : Main synths, perccusion, sequencing, and programming.
Haven Sole: Vocals, various synths, sequencing, engineering, lyrics, and programming.
