Dazzler Dazzler

It's a techy housey roller kind of sound.

Techno

Motion Motion

Cruisy tech-house.

Base Class - Lime (the Quirky touch remix) Base Class - Lime (the Quirky touch remix)

Remix for Base Class. I wanted to keep it housey, but add some modern touches and make it a little more techy.

Who Knows Who Knows

Tech house essentially, gets a bit prog house towards the end. Not really a peak time track, it's more 4 in the morning listening but still energetic enough to get your head nodding. Edited version here. Full length DJ-friendly version is 9:17min

Upbeat Upbeat

Tech-house track for the dancefloor. No lyrics or vocals samples - just chugging beats and basslines and flying synths steadily working towards a big finale.

Quirky is a name I thought I'd use to record some tunes under.
Band/artist history
Started producing in December 2005 - just giving it a tilt, like. Natural progression from DJ'ing. It's mid-2007 now and I've still got a lot to learn!
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Not any more. Was a resident club DJ and did some guest spots at dance parties and raves when it was all kicking off during the late 80's/early 90's. Could be tempted into DJ'ing again.
Your musical influences
I'm completely dependent on upfront, underground house and techno! I like it a bit twisted/acidey, deep, dirty and druggy. 4/4 is my favourite beat, travelling around the 128-132 bpm mark, with some kind of musical element - not just banging beats and noises. I rarely like anything in pop charts - I find it all too cheesy. Influences? 80's synth pop - all those one-hit wonder, new-romantic era songs! Jean-Michele Jarre New Order Orbital Leftfield The 'Guerilla Records' label / William Orbit John Digweed (DJ)
What equipment do you use?
Cakewalk Kinetic, VST's, Alesis M1 Active Mk2 monitors, Sennheiser phones, Behringer mixer. Not much but it'll do - for now.
Anything else?
House music all night long!
