My name is Tim Blake, and Quarry Mantis is the name of my one-man musical project. Quarry Mantis has no set-in-stone style, but currently it consists of electronics, progressive rock and dashes of black metal and others. I like to think my music is carried on its fresh ideas, and I try to be as enthusiastic as possible when approaching the music making process. Please enjoy my stuff. ;)Band/artist history

Your musical influences
For programming electronic music my main influence is probably Ulver, whose atmospheric electronics serve as a great inspiration. When it comes to progressive rock I look to the likes of Pink Floyd, Camel, King Crimson and others. For metal, I'm inspired by groups like Enslaved, Opeth and Judas Priest. What equipment do you use?
I mainly use software - FruityLoops, Reason 2.5, Cubase SX, Cakewalk Homestudio and AcidLoops. I also have a good condenser microphone and a simple mixing desk.Anything else?
Nope, just enjoy the music.Contact

PS. You're so wrong about the deep thing, you're retarded. All I care about is making enjoyable music. If anything that's un-deep.
Thanks, jerk.
You seem like you are trying to be deep. But youre not. The only thing you got going for yourself is that you look like Prince Harry, but hes a horses ass.
Hi there! I was just surfing Soundclick and stumbled across your page. It is fantastic to find another Kiwi Soundclick page. Maybe we will bump into each other at some point. Cheers from the Mainland (South Island).
