Alternative Metal

My name is Brandon Mogg, and I play guitar for the band, mojque. Computer recording has allowed me to exploit my creativity, and often become a hermit in the eyes of society. I record guitar, bass, and most recently vocals, in an attempt to immortalize my song ideas (so I won't forget them overnight). Some of the older stuff is Fruity Loops, Battery Drums, and Line6 POD 2.0. The newer stuff is DFHS and Line6 Toneport. The transition to the better equipment is painfully apparent.
Band/artist history
In the winter of 2004, I began recording single guitar riffs after years of tabs, which do not carry any rhythmic notation. By the end of 2005, I was recording several layers of guitars, earning a Bachelors in Multi-Track Guitar Recording. Soon after, an acquaintence introduced me to Fruity Loops, which I worked with feverously in 2006, annointing myself a Masters in Drum Programming using Fruity Loops. I then sought my Ph.D, so I upgraded my entire recording setup, dropping tens, if not hundreds of dollars into new hardware and software. The status of my dissertation can best be reflected in my most recent recordings on this very website. Please, refrain from referring to me as "Dr. qmp" as the RIAA has not yet recognized my educational efforts.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
The band does. We played almost everywhere in DFW until most the clubs started shutting down. Dallas has certainly lost its metal edge. We also played in Wichita Falls, Lawton, and Houston. Now just... anywhere in DFW area.
Your musical influences
Metallica, Disturbed, System of a Down
What equipment do you use?
DFHS, Sonar, and the Line6 Toneport for recording. Ibanez bass and guitar.
