Rap

" Someone once told me, that to do anything, it takes a dream and the ingenuity to see that dream accomplished. They told me that's what seperates leaders from followers, the weak from the strong. Nothing great is accomplished without both hard work and a firm, unwavering belief in God Almighty. I took that knowledge and applied to what I do best, music. With that being said, I present my production company, Lucky Me Productions, LLC. Here is a brief catalog of what we are all about. Thank you for taking the time to listen and feel free to contact us or leave a message on the board." -Profit, CEO/Owner/Producer for Lucky Me Productions, LLC.
Band/artist history
"Lucky Me was born about 3 years ago as just an idea, before I even started actually going through the process of making beats. I spent those years under different producers learning the craft and trying to find my sound(all producers should know what that process is like. LOL.) I didn't actually produce my first track until August '04, when a friend showed me Fruity Loops 3.0 and Cool Edit. From there I started making 3 to 4 tracks a day(as practice, but some of them were pretty hot). After putting in work, production, and gaining incrediable amounts of knowledge(Thanks Rino!! LOL) as V.P. under "The EST.ablishmint ENT." in Tampa, FL. I went on to really think about doing my own production company. The company was legit and legal Febuary '06. I got with my current President(Rino South) and together created a logo. We came out with the SPRING Catalog in June '06. I have recently moved to Orlando, Fl for a better base of operations(July '06). And the rest is history..."
Your musical influences
" I mean, to narrow it down?!! LOL. Ummm, def. Kanye West and the Neptunes. The whole 70's, 80's and 90's Negro(R&B, dance, soul, funk, etc) music era. Jazz and traditional musicains like Hector La Voe and Miles Davis. Lil' Jon, Dr. Dre, The Runners, Just Blaze, Alchemist(one of the most slept on producers of the late 90's/early 2000's), Rooke of the J.U.S.T.I.C.E League...too many, but you get the picture."
What equipment do you use?
"Fruity Loops 3.0(still!!) 5.0 and 6.0, Cool Edit 2.0(all my samples come thru here to get chopped), ReCycle 2.0("BSOD sample", "Hector La Voe sample", "Fool of them", and too many other tracks I've made to name) , Reason 3.0(drums and bass lines), Acid 6.0(not that much, but I used to for "Blinded by the Light"), a EVOLUTION MK-499c midi controller keyboard, hundreds of loop cds, even more mp3's, records(I much rather use the mp3's. It gives a much more cleaner sample and if I want that "vintage" sound, they make plug-ins for that. Not to mention u can't get everything on mp3, but everything's on wax.), drumkits from just about every drum machine there is(or that I could find sounds from), sounds from anything(I even recorded the ringtone from my first cheap ass Nokia cellphone for a sample. LOL) a Toshiba laptop(which is used for damn near all my beats. Don't have time to sit at home in front of a PC.), and a pair of SONY MDR-7506 headphones(great for making ur shit tight and clean, but horrible for bass and low's. But for a little under $200.00, you can't beat it. Besides I got monitors on the PC for pre-mixing), experience(priceless!!), and lots and lots of time reading SCRATCH magazine(that shit is the "Bible" for production, PERIOD. Don't let anybody tell you different.)."
Anything else?
" We don't just have sampled tracks!!! Alot of niggas come to me saying that. Ask and u shall recieve. I don't put them up cause I don't have a huge demand for them. But I got some crunk shit(I'm from the South, what type of producer would I be if I didn't bang the 808?!!). Holla @ me and tell what ur looking for.
