Premonition is an old school thrash metal outfit from Bangalore formed in the early months of 2005. Chintan and Tejas, the founders and guitarists met through a couple of friends who were eager to see the two unite. Being unhappy with their previous bands they decided to join forces and form a band that would best express their influences in music. They were then joined by Zakk (from Delhi based Ashtoreth) who took up vocal duties. A series of lineup changes took place in the rhythm section, which is now filled up by Nakul, on bass and Nachiketh on drums, thus completing the lineup. After a few shows at IIM-B, and Ambedkar College of Engineering, Zakk had to quit the band for personal reasons, and his place was filled up by Arjun (from Mumbai based Sledgehammer). Since then, the band has played regularly at rock competitions, and the monthly Sunday Jams. Premonition has recently played its first professional gig at The Taj Residency, Bangalore. The band is currently working on making more original music for release of their first demo cd. The Music: Premonition’s style of music is old school thrash metal.
