Originally from Compton, California, raised in SC Los Angeles, Prahphet's music can only be described as the next level of music in our generation and for generations to come. Deliberately cinematic in everything he does, universal from production to song and the most passionate vocals out since the best era of rap. Raised in South Central L.A. Prahph's criminally overlooked wordplay unfolds with electricity on beats from Hip-Hop to R&B, and Alternative to Club on a series of superb Mixtapes. A few albums under the belt and more artillery in the studio than a terrorist regime, when its time their will be no escape.

much like Def Jam also began in a dorm room. The name describes something the artist and listener can bring to the music all together. Steven E. Barnes also known as Prahphet dreamed up the indie label while away at college in Dallas, Texas. Having been drawn in by music in his early childhood, he had decided at last to follow his heart in place of his aptitude for studies. With little knowledge of the ever changing industry, S.E.B. hit the books and set aside his studies to prepare for what was to come.

In bringing LHBM to life the journey included working with a few majors (i.e. Aftermath, Loud) the unfimiliars would bring forth progress; FGM (Free Genie Music) which gave rise to the "Hard Head Hustlaz" Memoirs album, touring overseas with and as "The Youngstaz" pushing for charity, awareness and drug prevention, recording with Nikki Grier, Tatiana, and lastly forming the new LHBM team in 2006. As life is an everlastingly growing and learning experience, to say the least, the end result commencing in 2001 would allow the emergence of Da Kidd, Stunna J, TRIG, Riviera, Platinum, Polo, Young Knive, Poohlay Rich, Six Beats, and many more.

They would form the powerhouse music group known as Lifes Heart Beat, they would be the second coming and notably the last. The studio accord had been mastered, production, and approach would internationally make the moniker LHBM a household name. LHBM will be that culture, that future and source of music and video for everyone to "go up" to. What's next to come? When will it arrive and where?? Satellite radio, Itunes, internet wide, UP INYA!! The Saga Continues...

Been all around the world and back. Lets do it again. Made friends and fans and new family across the U.S. to traveling abroad, cant wait to get back on it. Nothing in the world like traveling to a place you've never been and having your mind go into a high from simply observing and feeling what you could never have imagined; only to experience.

I have no equipment, just 10 years of collected audio samples and a rigorous set of raw plugins. What really does the job as far as equipment is the mind that is free, and the most powerful tool I use in the studio are BOOKS ha haaaa:
