9/10/07 New song added to my Music page.
I recently returned to the music business after retiring in 1985. I played professionally for 15 years prior to retiring.
I've been working on my guitar/bass playing as well as my vocals for the past few years in hopes of starting or getting back into a consistant and professional band. Had a couple of projects that didn't work out (2005 & 2006) but I'm still hoping to run into the right folks.
If I have to live in one genre it would be Southern Rock even though I also play & write Rock, Pop, and Country with a little Blues, Soul, Jazz, and Bluegrass thrown in for spice.
When you listen to one of my songs in a way I have touched your life, that is very cool

Band/artist history
I am currently a one man shop. I write, arrange, engineer, produce, and perform all tracks on my recordings.
These songs are "work songs". I hope to play some of them in the future when I get back with a band.
Music is the therapy for my life.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I am alive every time I play... I hope.
Your musical influences
Grew up in Memphis... exposure to many styles from Soul, Jazz, Blues, Rock, Country, old style R&B, and Bluegrass.
Some major influences include:
Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bob Seger, Allman Bros, Lynyrd Skyryrd, The Band, Little Feat, The Who, Kansas, The Boxtops, Amazing Rhythm Aces, The Outlaws, Molly Hatchet, Grinderswitch, Eagles, Charlie Daniels Band, Queen, Shake Russell, Willis Alan Ramsey, Bob Dylan, and modern day folks like Stone Temple Pilots, Red Hot Chili Peppers, John Mayer, and Chris Cornell (any of his bands and music).
I also really dig an unknown artist in L.A. named Hal Cope who goes by DL Fiddler.
What equipment do you use?
Guitars are:
1965 Fender Mustang, 1990 Fender Strat Plus Deluxe, 1999 Fender American Strat, 2005 Taylor T5 Custom, 1977 Ovation Legend, 1968 Gibson B-15.
Amps:
1980 Peavey Mace, 1983 Peavey MX, 2005 Genz Benz Shenandoah 100 Acoustic Amp and a 15 Watt Marshall.
I also use Ibanez basses.
Anything else?
All songs on my music page are available (except "Say" and "I Is What I Am")... please contact me for permission and/or licensing.
