THERE IS A SCROLL BAR ON THE RIGHT: So it's 2026 now. A complete update. My wife's parents had a collection of Tapes (good quality BASF) of me playing Organ and Piano in the Snowdonia Lounge at Prestatyn Sands 1977-79. Also a great Photo and Band vinyl 45 rpm record of SECRETS, the band in what was the Clwyd Bar. Also a copy of Frankie Woods singing the promo. recording with The Tony Strudwick Orchestra. So all in all enough to make a small Soundclick site. I have been with Soundclick on and off since 2006 and actually know the owners Tanju and Tolgar quite well online. So I use the name TONY WILLIAM on my main site here. My surname had a change in the year 2000 as our two sons were finding the surname "Gay" a little arduous at school then. But it's me - now nearer to 80 than 70 but living in Staffordshire Moorlands with Sue. We are both blessed with amazing health and fitness. As mentioned we are parents and also grandparents. If your world crossed mine all those many many years ago I am on pianist@tutamail.com It may be a week or more before I get back to you. Tell me who you are please, as most of my mail goes in the bin. FINALLY, I have Facebook "friends" of Bluecoats and Entertainment Manager I knew from back then in UK and USA. But I must respect their Privacy. I no longer link to any Facebook Groups from here.
It was 1976. I was busy as an organist in Manchester Clubs and just become a Professional Musician. I auditioned at a Club in Farnworth, Manchester as a Pianist and was immediately contracted to play at Prestatyn Sands. The ideas gained from this venue led to a 39 year runaway Party Business for Children run by myself and Sue. We bought a new house in Wilmslow, Cheshire and this location was the key to high-quality employment week in and week out from ordinary nice people, Celebrities, Sports and TV Stars etc. We retired in 2019.
My father in law Ron Rathbone still alive, aged 98 in a really nice Nursing Home with Entertainment nearly every day. The Trophies pictured here are on his window ledge there now! My dear mother in law passed in 2017; and my own dear mother (photo) as long ago as 1981.
