Poncho Tha Great
Poncho Tha Great is not your average lyricist, singer, producer, songwriter, and composer. Born and raised in Washington, DC, he has been highly influenced by music such as World music and Alternative rock, house music, and drum and bass and ambience sounds. By the age of 18, he became a self-proclaim musical genius. The music that he created is driven by spiritual, meditative compositions. Formulate from sounds of rock, funk and soul, R&B and Hip Hop. He further defined his dream of becoming a major player in the music industry and began studying Music Business Management at the prestigious Howard University. His impressive style of blending elements of sounds has won him a songwriting Competition and billboard honorable mention Award. The concept is a touch of urban music emerging with alternative rock to sum it up Poncho Tha Great is a one-man army or one may say a One Man Show. Thus far creating a whole new genre of music, which he has labeled as Alternative soul.. As a Artist, Poncho finds inspiration from artist such as: Incubus, Linkin Park, Fall out Boy, Timberland, Kanye West, Evanescence, Hinder and AnBerlin just to name a few.
