Plunge is an original alternative/rock band based in Calgary. The band is comprised of four members featuring Angela Saini (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) Brent Miller (vocals, bass guitar) Tony Gare (lead guitar) and Jonathan Blaskovitch(percussion). Plunge has been together for almost three years, having being founded while the members were still in high school. In this time, Plunge has composed over 2 1/2 hours of solid original music as well as added some cover songs to their set. Plunge has been seen and heard at many locations around the Calgary region. The band was recently added to the CJSW 90.9fm Radio stations library and is in rotation on a number of shows. February 28, 2000 plunge appeared live on A-channels big breakfast show. They have been also showcased at the Back Alley, Metro Nightclub, The Embassy, and made it to the Bandwarz finals competition at Morgans on 17th and at the Unicorn. In May of 1999 the band organized, and performed in, a concert fundraiser for Kosovo refugees; the concert was featured on the Calgary 7 news. Additionally, the band has developed a very strong and loyal following since their formation that is still growing in numbers.

Have you performed in front of an audience?
We are really into live shows. Currently the band has been playing shows in the Calgary scene, but we're looking to tour come the spring.
Your musical influences
We are influcenced by a great many artists from Smashing Pumpkins, to Ani DeFranco, Foo Fighters and Hendrix (RHCP). All members enjoy a wide assortment of music that leads to a unique sound in every song.
What equipment do you use?
Fender Guitars/Bass, Marshall Amps, Yorkville P/A, Shure SM58, Sabian cymbals, Line 6 Guitar amp, Zoom/Boss effect pedals, Kork Bass pedal,
Anything else?
We are looking for a new bandname (as the name 'Plunge' is apparently taken by numerous other bands in North America). So give us your ideas (even if they suck) and it would be much appreciated.
