By blending the strengths of what originally made 80s electro-pop edgy with today's modern electronic sensibilities, PLID has managed to form a sound that is all their own.
We've had some really cool gigs thusfar. The best moment to date was opening for My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult in New Orleans at the Parish/House of Blues. We love getting out and performing for the fans, and we're doing more and more of it. We try to put on a unique and fun show that shows us off as performers. I hope those who have seen us live would agree!
We kind of wear our influences on our sleeves. Certainly, Depeche Mode, Erasure, early Human League, Kraftwerk and Pet Shop Boys are HUGE favorites of ours. We are also influenced by the newer wave of exciting new bands like Fischerspooner, The Postal Service, Ladytron, and The Bravery.
We use SONAR 4 Producer Edition with loads of cool soft synths, a microKORG, and a Radium MIDI controller.
