The MasterMindz are a rap group from the 208 area, comprised of 6 members.
They are known for their raw lyrics over hard-hitting beats, which captures hip-hop and rap's true essence.
Catchy hooks and masterful wordplay make the MasterMindz the hottest new act in the 208 rap scene. True rap fans of all ages can appreciate the undilluded flavor of the group's music, which merges the members' individual styles to create a unique and compelling sound.
A&R SELECT out of Hollywood, California says this about their new album:
". . . A set of fresh, high energy hip hop, with a strong diversity of music. . . The raps are smart, quick, smooth-flowing, and seemingly flawless. . . Lyrics range from classic club material, to deep meaningful lyrics about life and personal experiences. . . The album has a good range of radio hits, old school tracks, and very underground feels. . . All in all, a very impressive set of high energy material."
The group is dedicated to the preservation of pure unadulterated, underground hip-hop, and rather than looking for record deals from corporate tomcats at major labels, they instead work tirelessly to self-promote and distribute their debut album under their new independent label, MasterMindz Entertainment.
The MasterMindz are always willing to collaborate with other talented artists who are passionate about their music. They pride themselves on helping out young, undeveloped and inexperienced artists whenever the opportunity arises.
Despite the record's rugged and explicit lyrics, the group hopes that music fans of all types will find something they can relate to or appreciate in the music, as they pull their concepts from real issues in everyday life, with topics ranging from religion to drugs, from beautiful women to political corruption.
"Clearly, our major fan base will consist of hardcore rap lovers like ourselves,"says Sketchy Waze, the youngest of the group. "But the songs we sing touch on very real issues that affect a lot of people. . . So anyone, if they listen to the messages behind the music, should be able to find something they can understand, if not appreciate."
The group has just released their debut album 'Revelationz', and is preparing for an independently-launched tour to promote the new record. They can be found performing throughout the Northwest, promoting their new album.
