Plan B is James van Leuven(discography: planbboy.com/disco.html), musician/DJ/producer. James is from Seattle, WA, USA. With this new project, James is focusing on beat driven music using elements of Jazz, Hip Hop and Indie Rock. We'll call Plan B music indie electronic.
Plan B's live shows feature James on his laptop, manipulating recordings of himself playing drums, bass, guitar and found samples, as well as flurries of breakdancing. He is often accompanied by live Stand-up Bass and Trumpet. And the Plan B crew project original animation videos (Thomas Brierly, of Koala Kings, Adde Russell and Xuicito).

Plan B's first release, 'Like a Ship Sailing,' was released to record stores in both the US and Europe through ADA in Dec 2002 by the Seattle record label Luckyhorse Industries (www.luckyhorseindustries.com). Luckyhorse Industies is James Bertram (Red Stars Theory, Beck, Built to Spill, and 764-Hero) and Amanda Graham. The record label also puts out records from The Blood Brothers, Love As Laughter, Winfred E Eye, FCS North, The Vells, YKK, Amy Blaschke, the Sorts, and The Exciting Trio. Luckyhorse also manufactures merchandise for Modest Mouse, Murder City Devils, Ugly Casanova, Aveo, Carissa's Wierd, Beachwood Sparks, and more!!! Luckyhorse released both CD and vinyl LP of Plan B's 'Like a Ship Sailing.'
