Petri Krzywacki
A freelance guitarist/composer from Helsinki, Finland. Feels that versatility is very important these days to be able to be true to all one's inluences. Performs mainly within the jazz idiom, but is also influenced by other genres such as blues (Robben Ford, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Albert Collins), country/bluegrass (Albert Lee, Tony Rice) and rock/funk (Hendrix, Leo Nocentello). Believes very strongly in having an open mind so there are as few inhibitions for the imagination to flow as possible.

Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I gig regularly as a sideman around Helsinki, Finland. It's the best thing in the world -wouldn't be doing it if I didn't think that. Special moment was the opportunity to play two gigs in 2003 with the great Ed Thigpen on drums.
Your musical influences
The whole jazz tradition, all instrumentalists and vocalists alike. A short list would include (in no particular order) Bud Powell, Bill Evans, John Coltrane, Wes Montgomery, Grant Green, Ed Bickert, Bill Frisell, Phil Woods, Carmen McRae, Ed Thigpen, Miles Davis, John Taylor and many others..
