Pete Starkes
Hello, and thanks for checking out my page. I have a handful of songs you can check out. I'm mostly an instrumental rock guitar player but recently I've been drawn back to wanting to write songs intended for vocals.... one problem though - I don't sing. I'm hoping I can hook-up with someone locally or online that would be interested in working with me. Let me know if you would be interested.Band/artist history
I've been in and out of a few bands over the years and I've learned that I prefer to work on my own for the most part.Have you performed in front of an audience? Not anymore.
Your musical influences
Being a guitar player, some of my favorites are Alex Lifeson, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, Tony MacAlpine, Eric Johnson, Neil Zaza, Fates Warning, Porcupine Tree, Dream Theater, Rush, Ra, Queensryche.... and many more. What equipment do you use?
I have collected tons of gear over the years. Mainly Mesa Boogie is my amp of choice, but I have a couple Peavey amps as well. I use T.C. Electronoics effects processors as well a pedalboard of stomp boxes and wah pedals. I've just recently started using a Line 6 Pod XT and it's a great little tool to compose with.
I got bit by the seven string bug about three years ago and have four Ibanez seven string guitars and two ESP six strings guitars.
For recording gear, I've been using Protools for years now with a Digi001.Sheryl Clapton's station
