I'm just a fella trying to keep the troubador tradition alive in the Cyber Space Age on its terms.
Band/artist history
Singer-songwriter Paul Farnham is a "must see" performer who has been entertaining audiences of all ages for more than 30 years. With his soothing sound of awesome originals and interpretations of classic pop, blues, jazz, R&B and traditional melodies, Paul has developed a veritable kaleidoscope of musical styles.Original compositions such as "Single Candle's Light" and show both the rewards and hardships that life can offer, while Paul's renditions of "Midnight Special" and "Heatwave" make you long for a pair of dancing shoes.Known for his keen interest in local history and folklore, Paul's "Old Pennsylvania" sung in both English and Pennsylvania German, draws each listener into the voices of yesteryear, yearning for simpler times.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I perform as much as possible. Its what greases my wheels. I've been doing this for 30 years and the special moments are far too numerous to recount (there've been more than a few sucky moments as well, but you learn to get over it and soldier on).
Your musical influences
My influences include such diverse artists as Gordon Lightfoot and Jim Morrison, Phil Ochs and Smokey Robinson.
What equipment do you use?
My axe is an Alvarez Yairi. I use a small Peavey PA.
