Band/artist history
The Universe is Eternally Changed In the summer of 2002 PANACHE was formed just outside of Albany. As the name of the band suggests, the quartet creates rock music with style and elegance. PANACHE isn't confined to one category of music; it is an aggressive blend of jazz, blues, jam-band sound, and rock. Guitarist Dave Ives, Drummer Ken Davis, Bassist Kevin Lee, and VocalistPianist Kara Storti are the members of the group. PANACHE endeavors to create its own signature style, a full sound of soulful piano and vocals, trippy guitar riffs, funky bass lines, and dynamic beats. With the influences of Jimmy Hendrix, Fiona Apple, Deftones, Incubus, and BB King, PANACHE hopes to appeal to a variety of musical tastes. The Band came together in pieces. Dave and Kara had been writing songs together for a couple of years when Ken joined the duo. From the first practice, There was immediate chemistry and excitement. Once Kevin bcame part of the mix, the band was complete and ready to play shows locally. Throughout the summer and into the fall PANACHE booked as many shows as possible, playing at various local venues and coffee bars. PANACHE continues to play show locally in Albany, Saratoga Springs and Schenectady, and also in the college towns of Ithaca and Oneonta. They have been featured on channel 103.1 Big Break and have appeared on Fox News. The band's main focus is to expand their fan base and seize as many performance opportunities as possible. They work to promote themselves so "PANACHE" will no longer be just an unfamiliar word out of the dictionary.
