Have you performed in front of an audience?
Used to dj/juggle hip hop regularly. I just got sick of the commercial-brainwashed zombies that don't appreciate the finer arts of the underground, and ask for the top 40... "Can YOU play that Soulja Boy?" says random poser "FUCK NO!" I tell 'em
Your musical influences
Funnily enough I hated hip hop and rap untill 14. I played drums since I was 10 & my brother is a dope guitarist. We used to jam and play heavy metal/punk music. (Pennywise, Rage Against The Machine etc.) Then I listened to Wu -Tang for a solid year+ when 'The W' dropped and was converted. Got lost in the deep realms of underground hip hop very quickly. But I love any genre of music that gives me energy or emotion somehow. I feel obliged to force this feeling upon the public, like it has done for me.
What equipment do you use?
Mpc 25k & recently 2kxl, Fantom x6, Vs880ex, Br600, & a whole lot of vinyl for inspiration.
Anything else?
Anyone can make beats. Everyone can make noize. But when you understand in extreme depth the concept of; sampling, manipulating, filtering, layering, envelopes, resampling, musical scales, timing, sequencing, song structure etc.. Then the studio becomes an extension of your mind to endless possibilities in creation of complete instruments and compositions from milliseconds of any source imaginable..
