All hail Overrider, one of the UK’s most promising new bands. Coming from Sudbury, this young outfit have been making a huge noise in East Anglia of late with their attitude-laden grooves. Drawn together at school through their mutual interests, vocalist/guitarist Jack Newnham, guitarist Teddy Driscoll, bassist Gav Senior and drummer Tom Delaney met and the four immediately hit it off and started jamming. Finding that they shared numerous musical influences, ranging from legends like Hendrix and the mighty Sabbath, to cult scene-leaders Clutch, Down and Sixty Watt Shaman, the chemistry was inevitable and Overrider are already making waves with some memorable gigs under their belts. Having also entered the studio for the first time in November, the band are justifiably proud of their resulting three-track demo. Already receiving support from local radio, Overrider look forward to continuing to develop their own unique slant on desert rock, and 2006 will undoubtedly see the band going from strength to strength.
