I started making music while writing a horror novel. At the time I didn't have much of the kind of music I like to listen to while writing and I thought the only way I would ever get exactly what I wanted was to make it myself. Since then however I've found hundreds of other musicians out there who make music similar to my own. My sound is sometimes dark ambient, sometimes mysterious, sometimes uplifting, and always different. Please check it out.

Began in 2000 by Bonnie Gardiner as an experiment in sound, Orphic Endeavors' ethereal atmospheric music has been used in the short film "Waiting for Something" directed by John Clifton Gardiner and the documentary "America's Most Haunted Inns: Bucks County PA" directed by Robert Child as well as several other video and film projects. If you like movie soundtracks, ambient soundscapes or even some Myst-like or Schizm-like video game music you will enjoy Orphic Endeavors.
No, I do not play live. I construct music from recorded bits and pieces of everyday life and use synths and basically anything I can find that makes noise around the house. It would be extremely difficult to play live.
The primary influence are the soundtracks of the classic PC games Myst and Riven by Robyn Miller, but I am also influenced by Depeche Mode instrumentals, and artists like Delerium, Engima, Amethystium and others.
Thanks for listening!
