Hey, this is Ian. This is our band Orchid... we're influenced by a lot of bands, some of the biggest being Deftones and Thursday. We wouldn't say we're screamo, but I wouldn't say we're anything else. So, yeah. Pretty much, screamo.Band/artist history
There were a bunch of little bands in 2002, with Nic, Adam, Me, Brad, John, and all sorts of different people. Eventually the "bands" had split ways, and me and Brad had formed Orchid, while the other people formed "The Band," which is a band that plays solely covers. Our name wasn't Orchid until a few months ago. We eventually got John in 2003, and Steve joined in 2004, and now we're looking for a vocalist.Have you performed in front of an audience?We're actually writing out songs to play... we have about 6 or 7.
Your musical influences
Mine are Thrice, Thursday, Deftones, TBS, Coheed And Cambria, Halifax, Further Seems Forever, The Movielife, Matchbook Romance, Park, Saosin is a big one in my book, Sparta, Glassjaw, and Armor For Sleep.
John mainly listens to a lot of experimental stuff, a ton of DMB... etc...Anything else?
