orchestra6
A group of strangers who share the visceral experience of crafitng air into sound.

like this forever like this forever
I heard the music of Miriam Berraissoul on Myspace, and not only enlisted her talents for orchestra6, but I covered her song for dobro and guitar. Go check out the original at myspace.com/miriamberraissoul

she'll look to you she'll look to you
There are four versions of this song floating around...this version was the last done and the most unique of all--biased opinion, but there it is. Outstanding performances from everyone.

slippery slippery
Originally began as goofing off with a simple drum loop and heavy delay, it became the organism you hear after much fermentation. The lyrics came quite a bit later...

rest a while rest a while
A textbook internet collab...I send guitar part to singer/lyricist, she writes words and a melody line, sends it back to me where I dobro it up and then off to the sax player...then we rest a while.
Not an orchestra, and with members totaling more than six, orchestra6 continues to defy labels and logic.
Brought together through a mutual love of communicating through music, the members of orchestra6 have never met fully in one place...indeed for the most part we are acquaintences at best and virtual shadows usually...
Nevertheless, we use technology in an unusual and delightful way...
we write songs
we record basic tracks
we share the files
rarely are there any spoken words exchanged between members during the process...
Orchestra6 goes beyond it's own output...the various members make their own music, and also collaborate with others.
...we are trying to change the music industry one click at a time...
