Band/artist history
Onslaught is a two-piece band from Hyderabad, India formed late in 2007 comprising of brothers, Yohan Issac (Guitars/Bass) and Rueban Issac (Drums/Vocals).
Yohan is the underlying root of the bands unique sound. Bearing the responsibilities of being the bands lead guitarist and bass player, he puts in a lot of effort to smoothen out the rough edges of the bands music. Yohans style involves a blend of melodic acoustic progressions gelled with heavy in your face riffs well rounded with killer accompanying solos. He is heavily influenced by heavy metal and power metal bands such as Demon Hunter, Iron Maiden, Children of Bodom, Firewind, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Sonata Arctica, Hammer Fall etc.
Rueban is the architect of the bands music. He bears the responsibilities of being the drummer, vocalist and lyricist for the band. His vocal styles are a blend involving a majority of clean with intervals of screams and his drumming styles add to a tighter and more definitive sound to the bands music. He is heavily influenced by bands such as Mindrage, Six Feet Deep, Sevendust, Deftones, Demon Hunter, Megadeth, Hatebreed etc.
Onslaught record at home and pride themselves on their ability to create recordings on their own terms. Their musical goal is to write songs that they would enjoy listening to in the hopes that other people like themselves will enjoy listening to their songs as well.
Onslaughts sound is influenced by music ranging from New age alternative to Heavy/Thrash metal with a hint of Christian values added to it.
