I started rhyming/writing with 3 other talented peeps, that I met when moving to the west end of the city around the age of 19. We "loosely" called ourselves the "North Star Nebula" and I say loosely cause as a band we eventually disbanded, due to everyone kinda branching off to their own paths. I still see one of the 3 from time to time, so I see some collabos in the near future...That being said I do alot of solo stuff. I produce my own beats and nowadays I'm trying to hone my mixing skills to save me some loot. But when it comes to tracking vocals for my tracks I still prefer to go see my engineer.
I've done some live shows in the past, and it is fun. The most memorable show I can remember was doing an unsigned hype show with my friend Marvin aka Gentile aka The Golden Child, it was cool chilling with other groups, hearing their stuff, yea it was real cool.
geez, I mean I listen to a lot of stuff, outside of "hiphop" like jazz, rock, blues, classical, metal (well some types), punk, ambient, house, dnb, electronica, jungle, all in all if I'm feeling it, I'll listen to it... but for the sake of hip hop I would say my influences are...aww man now you making me get up and go to my music stash, fortunately most of it is in alphabetical order he he
