In the tradition of some of the greatest rock bands of all time, 1:1 has captured the essence and sound of classic rock and interwoven a most profound message within it. You see, 1:1 (One to One) is a Christian Rock band and they are not afraid of speaking the truth from their hearts, in their music or in their ministry to others.
Band/artist history
Originally formed in late September 2001 by Co-Founders Mick Farlow and CJ Hill as the band Vyntage. 1:1 is based out of the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina. This talented group of artists have come a long way from their humble beginnings. The band is now six members strong and their unique sound comes from the mixture of an extremely tight rhythm section comprised of Drummer, Wayne Richards and Bassist, Jeff Cook, the uniquely diverse guitar talents of Mick Farlow and Paul Piazza and the soaring vocal textures provided by Karen Raymond and CJ Hill. This group of individuals has over three years of live concert experience, and it shows. They are becoming one of the best bands in their state and have both a strong EP titled “Vyntage” and an awesome Indy CD release, “Life Out Loud”, to back them up.
1:1 is a group of seasoned professionals who put their all into what they do. Blessed with some incredible writing talent, the bands popularity has quickly risen, due strongly to the infectious grooves and thought provoking lyrics within their music. There is also a strong hands-on approach, that is displayed and the proof is evident in their live performances. The demand on the band to perform is strong and there is no shortage of concerts. Coffeehouses, Church Events, Biker Rallies, City and Nationally known Christian Festivals, have all called upon 1:1 to perform and minister. This band truly believes in working hard to get the message out.

We do play live and do enjoy it very much. Especially when the crowd's into it.
Your musical influences
Some of the largest influences for our band, are the bands that we grew up listening to from the Classic Rock era. Bands like Boston, Kansas, Journey, Heart, Pat Benetar, and many others. But our influences are not just secular. Bands like Third Day, Petra, The Newsboys, FFH, etc. are our listening choices today.
