Why not try and do something different once in a while? What if Carlos and Stevie sat down togehter some day?
TV theme TV theme
The ref will probably call a time out for using chorus and delay on this on, but it's quite fun and sounds decent. BT by Mats Nermark.
Muthaship Muthaship
In the captain's log you can read that this was made on a sunday morning while mildly abusing a Morley Wah.
Taking steps (2nd attempt) Taking steps (2nd attempt)
Putting my new 335 to the test, I tried to get a jazzy and distinct tone to a backing by Mats Nermark. I should have kept it simple from the start.
It could work It could work
BT by Mats again. He's really good at making them. An almost forgotten guitar with sad strings, but a lovely amp helps a lot.
Octaves Octaves
I'll admit that I'm a jazz fan. This is some soloing over a standard chord progression. I had to bring out the Gibson LP for this. Nice tone.
A song you know A song you know
This is probably the only jazz ballad I will ever put up here, but it is one of my all time favorites. Telecaster, Matamp C7, GE Speaker emulator and a simple home-made backing
Is this anything? Is this anything?
A Levinson Blade strat, a Matamp C7 and an ADA Microcab saved my neighbours from hearing this, but it's an improv over a BT by Mats Nermark.
Get outta here Get outta here
This isn't one for the faint hearted. My attempt at playing fusion is what it is, a learning experience. But have a laugh, by all means...
Ms Demeanor Ms Demeanor
All slide and fingers, which means I'm taking chances here, but hey, you have to try it once in a while. A swamp ash telecaster with TIM and a Super Bass. I like the tone.
Mr Mean Mr Mean
This is a nasty tone, and hold on to your hats because I took out the slide (and a TIM, but don't tell anyone). Most of it is the bridge pickup on a telecaster through a Univalve. For the last part I just had to throw in a Morley wah as well.
Tribal jammin' Tribal jammin'
I made a backing track for some friends to have fun with. This was my contribution at the time. A strat through a Super Bass with a Hot Plate. You can't play a 100W amp at these volumes without risking eviction.
Some funky stuff Some funky stuff
I believe this was done with a Vox Tonelab straight into the soundcard. Maybe the rythm work is more interesting than the lead guitar, but hey, who am I to critizise?
Satch's game Satch's game
I grew up listening to Joe Satriani's "Surfing" album. When I'm in a good mood this kind of reminds me of it. This it a Mosferatu pedal by Alf Hermida. Quite nice, but maybe I overdid the effects.
Airbrush Airbrush
A friend let me borrow a Crowther Hot Cake pedal. Hmmm, I think I might keep it here though..
Sloppy blues #2 Sloppy blues #2
This was a second take, where I was encouraged to dig in with the pick a bit more. A telecaster through a Univalve w. 6550 is the equipment used. All miked up with an SM57.
Sloppy blues Sloppy blues
This is played with Blade R4 that has Bartolinis in it. I used a V-stack in front of a Marshall Super Bass.
