Death/Black Metal

January 29 2006- News of sorts. Joe (formerly of solve For X, With ) has joined Nuns with Guns, as a vocalist, and the vocal duties are now split between Joe and , Garrett isnt doing them Much. We released a single earlier in the month, and we are out of copies to sell, sowe uploaded some of the songs to our music page. Were working on a full length album as we speak, and we have 12 songs so far, were looking to get about 30. Also, we will release the album independently, and you may be able to buy it even if you dont go to Bay Path. well tata for now bastards Well, we are Nuns With Guns, a sort of eccentric metal/punk band from Charlton,MA. The band was actually originally founded in December of 2002, and weve had various names over the years, but in its present form was founded in August 05', and new Vocalist joe joined this past December. But Ill leave the band History for an explaination. Us: - guitar, vocals Joe - Vocals, other odds and ends Garrett - percussion, vocals Oh and by the by Corey Vizard Is A Twat Waffle.
Band/artist history
It all started in December of 2002. Corey Vizard and were two Ozzy Osbourne-obsessed preteens. Corey remembered that his mom had some guitars and he had a keyboard, so they decided to start a band, and called it 'War Pigs' after the Black Sabbath song of the same name. They were content jamming by themselves for about a year, with them constantly switching between the spot of vocalist and guitarrist (they ruined the keyboard very early on), but they decided they needed more people. So they got their friend Josh Menard to also play guitar with them in February of 04', and changed the name to 'jSc 666' for a short time, until Josh left in May of 04'. So the school year ended, and they decided they needed a drummer. brother t filled the spot, and bought his own guitar and learned to play much better, and for the first time, they actually did something halfway productive, now under the name Nuns With Guns. ( remained guitarist for the rest of the band's existence.) They recorded a demo, but they scrapped the release because they thought it sucked, and kicked Garrett out of the band. They continued on under the name 'Pulse Cannon' for a short time, and then 'Purple Albert' for a one off show at a friends Halloween party. They then got a full line up together again, which included Scott Young on bass and Seth 'Bean' Carlson on drums. Scott and Seth quickly left and about 4 months later, in March of 05', called it quits and ended the band. Over the next few months, Corey and friendship broke apart, and they moved on to different things in music. Corey began rapping, and started Solve For X with Seth Carlson on bass. But In august of 05', decided that Solve For X wasnt enough, so in addition, he decided to reform his old band (without Corey of course), bringing his brother back on percussion, and they shared the position of lead vocals. But this time rather than making songs that unintentionally sucked, they have decided to suck with a passion, and play noise core. Over the next few months, the band recorded an album, 'Gods of Metal', and released it in December of 2005, selling copies at B Shortly after, in January of 2006, Joe , long time friend of Steve, and another former Solve for X bassist, joined Nuns with Guns to share the spot of lead vocals with . The band is currently aqbout halfway through recording a new full length album. Who knows what the future will hold, but one thing is for sure: Nuns with Guns will never really die, ever. Because if that was possible, it would have already happened.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We are going to play live eventually, but were waiting until a friend of ours throws a big party, and well probably play there. But for now we just play in and Garretts house. Also, when our new album comes out, we may play a world tour of Charlton.
Your musical influences
really this band has 2 main influences. 1. the band 'A.C' (standing for An*l C**t) and 2. Pure and unchanged stupidity, and a lot of noise.
