This is No Reason from 2002-2003. We had a very short lived, but, very successful local band. No Reason started out with Dusty Rawson on vocals and Dicky Reome on the guitar in late 2001. We were trying to start an all original band. A cover band was out of the question for us because there was plenty of ideas for original work. After a short stint with a bass player and drummer (which we dubbed the band "Sunbleed" and they split), we finally recruited Brian Mingle to play the drums and Joey "Thunder" Allen to play bass. With this solid line-up, we started writing and pushing to get our material recorded for promotion at our shows. In March of 2002, No Reason went into Ultimate Studios in Cortland, NY to record our self-titled debut disc. Within the first month of release and before our first live performance, DJ Sonny King put the song "I Don't Wanna'" on the air and in rotation on local radio, 101.5FM (in was the only song that would fit their format). No Reason was getting immediate exposure in Central NY. We played two shows with this line-up when drummer Brian Mingle, had to step out of the band to fulfill other musical obligations. Leon Searls filled in tocarry us through, but also needed to step down after doing only one performance. Meanwhile, several other local stations were playing other No Reason songs on their stations during "local band" hour. After some convincing, drummer Al Falso stepped up to take his place in the band, and No Reason grew by leaps and bounds. We quickly got into the studio to establish Al as the new permanant drummer in the band. "Hard to Believe" and "A Song for You" was released in late August of 2002. Once again, DJ Sonny King took to the two-song disc right away, putting "Hard to Believe" in rotation as a follow up to "I Don't Wanna'". We played several very successful shows around the area and had an even better response in Connecticut (through Brian and his brother, Mike Mingle). Nothing came after that. In March of 2003, Dusty had to pull out of the band due to personal reasons. The rest of No Reason managed to record five new songs with a singer from Tennesee with minimal results. The rest of the band went their separate ways and No Reason was finished. This was a great band that burned bright and died young. Too bad. But their music lives on!! Listen to it here, burn copies and share with your friends! Good luck to all and see you around!
