Nick Snaden
Vision#28 Vision#28
A new age-ish instrumental, one of three I wrote in a week after getting my new synth in 1997
Restless Heart (with Kizzy Morrell) Restless Heart (with Kizzy Morrell)
This one of 3 tunes I worked on with the wonderful Kizzy Morrel. It's just a basic blues number, but what really gives it a lift is her sensual vocal. Cheers Kizzy! xxx
The Whole World In His Hands The Whole World In His Hands
A tune about someone very greedy and wanting respect for it. Listen pal, I don't care how much money you've got: I'm not impressed, and all it shows is how empty you are.
Every Day (I Don't Believe) (with Rob Bisacre) Every Day (I Don't Believe) (with Rob Bisacre)
A song about a relationship going pear-shaped. Again. Words by Rob Bisacre and music by Rob with Nick Snaden. Many thanks to Paul Tyler for his help with the guitar hook.
One Day One Day
Classic rock song, and as with a few songs I wrote around that time, a bit bitter. I might rewrite this one and have another go at it. The execution of it could be better as well.
Heaven (with The Listening) Heaven (with The Listening)
Seventies style soft/classic rock.
Locked Inside This Tomb (with Andy Gregory) Locked Inside This Tomb (with Andy Gregory)
My oldest friend Andy wrote this lovely song. Yours truly did the backing and Andy tackled the vocals and lead guitar break
Easy Come, Easy Go (with Michael Crow and Andy Gre Easy Come, Easy Go (with Michael Crow and Andy Gre
1970's style classic rock song.
One More Hour (with Rob Bisacre & Ash Doulton) One More Hour (with Rob Bisacre & Ash Doulton)
Rock ballad, dedicated to everybody out there who misses a loved one who has departed from this level of existence. I truly KNOW how you feel and I wrote this just for you. xxx
The Things That You Carry The Things That You Carry
Man, I was right on one when I wrote this! It's OK, but I've done other stuff that's way better than this.
Confidence (with Joolie Bowen) Confidence (with Joolie Bowen)
I had a backing track kicking around for a few months when my ex, Joolie, turned up and I played it to her. About an hour later she had a lyric for it and we recorded the vocals the same day. All in all, I reckon it turned out OK. God bless, Joo xxx
No Direction (with Rob Bisacre) No Direction (with Rob Bisacre)
A hard-rocking song, written by my musical partner Rob Bisacre
(I Just) Can't Let It Go (I Just) Can't Let It Go
Slow piano-led rock song, written after my father died.
It's Summertime (with Michael Crow) It's Summertime (with Michael Crow)
What should be soft rock, turned into a banal pop song. But I do a good job anyway. 'It's summer time, it's party time!' *groan*
In Next To No Time (with Joolie Bowen) In Next To No Time (with Joolie Bowen)
Joo phoned me one evening and sang me a new tune she'd thought of. 2 hours later I had recorded the backing track and she called in to sing it the next day. Job done. It's kind of OK, I guess, and it went down well live.
One More Hour One More Hour
Allegedly the most moving song ever written. I wrote it in memory of my Mum, who died aged only 57. Love you, miss you, see you soon. xxx
(This Aint) Route 66 (This Aint) Route 66
Rock song about trying to get on Route 66 and not being too successful. But I get there once I dump my passenger.
Ancient Angel Ancient Angel
A hard rock song written for my dear, sweet, funny (and very sharp) friend Angelina. xxx. If I was twenty years younger... *sigh*
Anything Real (with Michael Crow) Anything Real (with Michael Crow)
This one is VERY old, recorded in about 1994. The backing track was recorded on cassette and was transferred to 1/2 inch 8 track tape quite a while later for overdubs. I wrote the music and the lyric for the first 2 verses, with Crow doing the rest.
