The Basin The Basin
New Speedway of West Chester, PA is a short-lived group of rock and roll musicians who expanded local minds into psychedlic fury, broke the rules with a smile on their face, and made an album in the process. They are inspired by such artists as Led Zeppelin, Phish, The Doors, and The Allman Bros., among many others.
The band will be regrouping this summer to play some more shows, record a new album and please the ears and asses of any cat who happens to hear them play.Band/artist history
Fuzz, Dave, and Chris "Big Nasty" Stephens had some jam sessions in November and December 2002. In January 2003, the whole band was formed and begin writing songs and gigging as well as working up a few covers by bands like Led Zeppelin, moe., Phish, and Herbie Hancock. They recorded their debut CD in mid May and went their separate ways to get in line for the man, who says that rock and roll is no way to make a future for oneself. But, not to be outlasted by the powers at hand, Dave, Fuzz, and Chris are currently working on a number of songs and communicating cross-country about the resurrection of the band.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yeah, mostly West Chester places, which will probably be expanded this summer. They tried to shut us down at Battle of the Bands but we jammed past the time limit, screw those people man. It's all about the groove, ya dig?
