Verse 4 of our National Anthem has become more well known lately, especially in the Christian community.

We occasionally have the honor of singing our National Anthem at various events (such as the Colorado Rockies game). This rendition is what we sing.

New Life Quartet was formed in 1980 as a Southern Gospel Quartet. We are located in Loveland Colorado and have performed at hundreds of venues, mostly along the "Front Range" of Colorado (Eastern side of the Rocky Mountains). We are accompanied by piano for live performances, and use other instruments on our recordings. We do this outside of our regular jobs as our ministry to the Christian community.
Members of the New Life Quartet are:
Kevin Bright - Bass - since 2016
Steve Warner - Lead - since 2012
Brian Chambers - Tenor - since 1980
Bill Stratton - Baritone - since 1980
Sue Cade - Pianist - since 2021
Band/artist history
Our story begins in 1980 when our original bass singer wanted a quartet to sing for his wedding. We had so much fun that we decided to continue on with a Southern Gospel emphasis. We have performed in hundreds of churches and other venues since then. We would love to sing for your group too!
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes, every opportunity we get! We have provided music for church and civic groups in gatherings as small as 6 people and as many as 50,000.
We were privileged to perform the National Anthem at Coors Field in Denver for a Colorado Rockies game.
We were invited several times to perform at the Rocky Mountain Quartet Convention.
We have done two concerts at the Rialto Theater in Loveland and were pleased to almost sell out both times.
We are available to do a few songs or a full concert.
Your musical influences
Good ol' Southern Gospel Quartet music is what we love to do. Our music is 4 part vocal harmony, singing a blend of new and old arrangements of Gospel songs and hymns. We love the Cathedrals, The Imperials and the Gaither Vocal Band.
What equipment do you use?
For small gatherings we use a provided piano (or bring our own keyboard) and sing without sound reinforcement. For large groups we bring our iPad controlled mixer, in-ear monitors, and microphones. We connect the output of our mixer to the house sound system.
Anything else?
As a group we support a child through Compassion (www.compassion.com). Sales of our music help us do this. If you would like to purchase our CDs or DVD, please go to newlifequartet.square.site.

Hi Folks, It sure is great listen to a real Quartet sing that good gospel. I have loved your kind of singing all my life. Stop by and visit sometime and listen to God's Amazing Grace. I wrote the song for a Quartet, but I had to do it myself. My God Bless all of you. Beau Renfro
Have a great New Year!
Larry Borden, an audiophile friend of mine from HomeTheaterTalk.com, recently (Oct 10, 05) did a review of a Harmonix Reimyo DAP-777 DAC (http://dagogo.com/HarmonixDAP-777Borden.html).
He wrote to me prior to the review of this equipment because he wanted to use our CD as a reference and mention it in his review. Here is what he wrote to me in his request: "Your CD is incredibly well recorded, and your harmonies are first-rate."
Thanks Larry! It's special to be mentioned in the same paragraphs with noted high quality recordings from exemplary studios.
Thanks for the comments.
Doing National Anthem at a pro baseball stadium was a real treat! Lots of fun. A friend that owns a limo business even took us (and spouses) to the game in his big stretch limo -- in exchange for a game ticket :)
The Rockies were great to us, as I'm sure they are to all the guests that do the anthem. Dressing room with muchies and drinks ... helping us all the way with what to do and when ... a great picture, framed (see it here: http://www.duke.edu/~nec/fandf/strattons/nlqrockies.jpg) ... a nice video tape of us singing, edited with the opening announcer's intro and the US Flag waving. Very classy job.
