LEASING RIGHTS($35-$50): With leasing rights you can use the beat for only *ONE* profitable commercial or broadcast purpose, you will have non-exclusive rights to the beat. Leasing rights can be sold multiple times by NewHood Productions and cannot be resold or transferred by anyone except NewHood Productions. All credit must be given to NewHood Productions. Re-selling a beat or failure to give proper credit is copyright fraud and is a punishable offense. Under no circumstances is the purchaser of a beat allowed to resell, remix, or chop it. Demo's or Cd's may not exceed sales of 1000 copies. If over 1000 copies are sold a 2% royalty on each CD sold will be paid to NewHood Productions so we can be fairly compensated for our beat. By purchasing the lease of a beat from NewHood Productions the buyer agrees to all of the previous conditions.
**Example: Say you want to use a beat for your album that you'll be selling, well if you purchase leasing rights you will not be able to use that beat for anything except the album. That means you cannot use the beat for live shows, radio play, tv appearances, compilations, etc...you can only use it for your album.**
EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS ($150-$200): With exclusive rights you can use the beat for any profitable commercial or broadcast purposes you wish to. Exclusive rights may only be sold once and once they have been leasing rights will not be available. Exclusive rights cannot be resold or transferred to anyone unless the permission of NewHood Productions is given to them. All credit for creating of the beat must be given to Theory or Gift NewHood Productions depending on whose beat it is. Re-selling a beat or failure to give proper credit is copyright fraud and is a punishable offense. Unless otherwise permissed by NewHood Productions the purchaser of a beat allowed to resell, remix, or chop it. If Demo's or Cd's exceed sales of 1000 copies then NewHood Productions wll be paid a 2% royalty for each one sold past the first 1000. Theory: Started in '02 in an Electronic Music class at school. In 03' I got alot better for some reason and started using Fruity Loops in about May of 04'. Still doing my thing.
