Yorkshire Day (Demo) Yorkshire Day (Demo)

The dawn breaks over a sleepy traditional fishing village hugging the North Yorkshire coast. The villagers awaken and prepare for the new day. A highly personal interpretation of a unique part of the world.

This is a demo version for part of the 'Journeys to an Inner Place' CD that I am working on. I anticipate it undergoing some drastic changes before it is ready to include on the CD.

New Age

I like to explore the tonality of music. Listening to a composition should take you on a journey of the senses and emotions. I aim to achieve this in my compositions.
Band/artist history
This is too small a space to write my autobiography, but here is a concise version: At age 11 I began to learn clarinet, soon becoming a member of the school wind band playing Glen Miller, Sousa and more contemporary classics. Leaving school, I began to learn guitar, together with some friends. To add a little variety to our playing, I also learnt to play keyboards. I played in various local bands, one of which became quite popular locally. I became a partner in a video production company, specialising in the audio side and contributing original compositions to many of the productions. A local theatre group were in need of assistance to provide sound and lighting for their productions. I was able to offer my services and as well as providing all of the sound effects and designing and controlling the lighting, I also contributed original music for each of their productions.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I haven't played live regularly since 1990, before which I was playing a minimum of 2-3 nights per week. It gave me a lot of very special memories. Given the right circumstances and with the right people, playing live again would be a great experience.
